Model 335, 835, 935, 1035, and 10000 center slitter/rewinders are used to economically slit and rewind a variety of materials that are sensitive to contact pressure. Advantage machines are equipped with an advanced control structure designed specifically to produce the highest quality packages quickly and repeatedly.
Model 220/400, 280/800, 400, 740, 800 and 803 center/surface slitter/rewinders are primarily used in the paper and label stock industries. They economically slit and rewind products that are uniform in thickness and can tolerate contact pressure. Flex machines are equipped with an advanced control structure designed specifically to produce the highest quality packages quickly and repeatedly.
Duplex and simplex center surface slitter/rewinder
Model 633, 635, 700 and 735 center driven slitter/rewinders are used to economically slit and rewind a variety of materials that are sensitive to contact pressure. Genesis machines are equipped with an advanced control structure designed specifically to produce the highest quality packages quickly and repeatedly.
Model 613, 616, 840 and 909 high-speed, two drum, surface slitter/rewinders are primarily used for large rewind diameters in the paper and non-woven industries. For narrow slit widths, two bowed rolls are provided for positive roll separation. Alpha machines are equipped with an advanced control structure designed specifically to produce the highest quality packages quickly and repeatedly.
Dusenbery’s® Model 81 Tension Control Unit serves as a replacement device for Dusenbery’s® original model 61, Model 71, and DEL Slowdown and other proprietary systems that are used to control unwinding and rewinding web tension. Several configurations of the Model 81 are available to ensure compatibility with any Dusenbery® slitter rewinder.
Model 81 Technology:
PLC-based digital control system with user-friendly interface using field proven components
Accepts load cell or dancer feedback signals and outputs a scaled air pressure to the tension control brake for regulating unwind tension
Load cell and dancer calibration are easily performed by following the prompts and using the ...
The Dusenbery Posi-Draw vacuum roll system evolved out of the need to make high precision coatings on very thin plastic substrates and to transport these webs with minimal damage. Vacuum rolls offered by other suppliers, although allowing the elimination of nipped roll transport, did not provide the fine tension control and flaw-free handling needed for the thinnest and most fragile webs. In slitting, the problems of tension control and protection of fragile coatings on very thin webs was just as severe.
An entirely new approach to vacuum roll design and construction was envisioned. A roll surface of continuity and smoothness solves problems related to dimple marking of thin plastic webs. A controlled use of vacuum force, in the ...
